Q: | Why can't the synagogue just put me back on the list?
A: | ConstantContact, who actually sends the emails on behalf of the synagogue, cannot afford to be classified as a "spammer" of unsolicited emails. They will, therefore, honor all "unsubscribe" requests, regardless of our wishes. They will not take our word for it the that the user changed their mind. |
Q: | I don't remember unsubscribing. How could this happen?
A: |
If you forward an email by clicking the Forward button in your email program and the recipient clicks "Unsubscribe" or the "Report Spam" button, the contact who owns the email (you) will be opted out.
The safe and proper way to forward an email from ConstantContact, is to use the "Forward" link at the bottom of the email. This will generate a new email that will come from you but, not be associated with your account. |
