The Social Action Committee, in conjunction with Sisterhood, identifies areas of need within the synagogue and surrounding communities acquiring the resources to address their needs.

The committee also assists various agencies, such as the Elijah's Promise food pantry, the Amandla Crossing housing program, and the Jewish Family & Vocational Service.

Some of the programs we have sponsored included: Passover Food Drive Hunger Awareness Day Birthday Parties for homeless children through the Homefront organization. helping needy families for the winter holidays, and clothing drives. Disaster relief for people who were burned out of their homes and apartments.

 

Sisterhood is collecting travel size toothpaste, soap, deodorant, and mini bags of M & M's. These packages are sent to Israeli soldiers. Our Congregation has the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of soldiers serving in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
