| In March of 2012, our president, Gary Bergman, attended the 40th Sulam Leadership conference for Synagogue Presidents in Newark, New Jersey. Unlike our past President, Ruth Anne Koenick, who does this professionally as faculty for Rutgers University and participated in Sulam 36, Gary found this conference to be a life changing experience. On one thing they both agree is, these type of events are extremely beneficial to our kehilla and we encourage our committee chairs and future leaders to participate in the various Sulam Leadership programs offered by United Synagogue. |
