Shabbat is our special gift from G-d. We receive this gift every week. Shabbat is an opportunity to enjoy, savor, and celebrate a day set apoart for us by G-d. Rabbi Wolkoff and Cantor Rockman hope you will feel moved and will join us regfularly as we share our passion for G-d, Judaism, and ourt love of the Jewish people.

We learn from Perkey Avot, the Ethics of Our Ancestors, "The world depends on three things: Torah, worship, acts of loving kindness." The Friday Night plugged-in service was created to encourage and inspire all of us to reach these ideas in our lives.

Here are the rules for this special service:

  1. The Cantor sings, The Rabbi sings, You sing. Everyone sings! It's a lot more spirited and fun this way.
  2. If you feel like clapping, That's OK, better yet, get everyone in your row to clap with you.
  3. If you like standing up, that's OK, you can even do it without the rabbi telling you to... just get up, clap and sing.
  4. Dancing is absolutely encouraged!
  5. This is not a "performance", let's all sing together, the louder the better.
