Ann Ruth Nimberg joined our staff as Religious School Director of Congregation B'nai Tikvah in 2011.

Ann Ruth Nimberg was born and raised in Boston. Massachusetts. She began her Jewish education at the Yeshiva in Boston and then attended and graduated Kehillath Israel Hebrew School. Thereafter, Ann attended Hebrew Teachers College in Brookline, MA. She graduated Boston University with earning B.S. degrees in both Education and Psychology. Ann has taught in the public and private sector. Her teaching experience encompasses pre-k through high school in both Hebrew and public schools. She is the recipient of several honors and awards, including Outstanding Educator and Outstanding Service in the development of Jewish Education. She has been a contributing member of the Principal's Council in Southern New Jersey and in Monmouth County. She received recognition for helping to establish the first teacher in-service in Monmouth County and has been a contributing member of the Educator's Council of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Ann was also instrumental in obtaining the Framework of Excellence for Congregation Beth Tikvah, her former synagogue in Martlton, NJ. Ann married her high school sweetheart, Gerry, and together they have two children, Jeff and Stephanie and five grandchildren: Andrew, Alexis, Haley, Rachel and Daniel. Ann comes to Congregation B'nai Tikvah from positions as Principal of Hebrew Schools in both Freehold and Marlton, New Jersey. She hopes to continue Congregation B'nai Tikvah's goal of creating a positive learning experience as well as giving the students the foundation for a lifetime of Jewish practice. |
